Forget those long, crimped skirts a la the early ’90s Goths; velvet has got its cool credentials back and is having a high fashion revival as the new ‘it’ fabric for fall. Velvet made multiple runway appearances this season as well as the streets. Velvet’s a pretty intense fabric, so use it judiciously.
Just because it’s getting a little chilly doesn’t mean I can’t rock a hot dress, skirt or even cute shorts. Slip on stockings or sexy thigh highs to your outfit. Even though plain old tights are always in style (although sheer hose are up for debate), designers turned it up went out of the box experimenting with color hue, patterns, texture ,and precious materials like the might look into the crystal-studded stockings at Saint Laurent and chain-mail and pearl leg pieces at McQueen.
