Spring Into Action
Dressing Up In My Love!
Life Is A Butterfly
Butterfly show-girls fluttered down the Jean Paul Gaultier catwalk in Paris, as the French designer transformed his haute couture gowns into delicate ethereal creations with silky wings in multicolored hues. The collections effect was both sultry and mystifying. Ms. Von Teese brought electricity with all the intensity of her bright teal ensemble, and we were once again reminded that nobody works a corset like the burlesque star.

Blooming Floral Fixation
Missing the warmth of the spring season? Flowers are a fun, girly trend that is carefree and inherently feminine. This blossoming trend, you’ll find flower patterned bras, shirts, skirts, dresses, trousers and jackets. Pastels, baby pinks and whites with little flowers were adorable in the past, but I want wild orchid prints. It’s a bit bolder, eye-catching and lady-like as well. Enter the “garden” and enjoy the beautiful pieces of 2014 Pre-Spring Collections from a wide range of designers.

Joan On Top!
Modern supermodel Joan Smalls is burning up the catwalk and is definitely the “It” girl in fashion due not only her perfect face, but her hard work and persistence. By the age of 13, Joan was entering in local modeling contest and didn’t win a single one.“I was told I was too tall, too thin and too dark,” she lamented in a Harper’s Bazaar interview.
The Puerto Rican model is currently ranked #1 model in the world according to models.com. Her breakthrough being signed as a Givenchy exclusive for Riccardo Tisci’s Spring/Summer show in January 2010. Since then, she’s cemented her major-league status walking the entire fashion alphabet from Alberta Ferretti to Viktor &Rolf and has been the face of prestigious brands including Givenchy, Fendi, Calvin Klein Jeans, Chanel, Gucci, Roberto Cavalli and Stella McCarthy. The peak of her success was in 2011, when she was chosen to represent Estee Lauder’s global faces campaign and being the first Latina to do so. “Joan is a modern beauty with elegance, style and confidence,” stated senior vice-president Aerin Lauder. “She is the perfect addition to Estée Lauder’s global faces.” Lesson here, keep persevering no matter what because losers can come on top and be the champ. “It feels amazing being number one,” she said. “I’m extremely flattered, honored and just blessed. It just cements that all my hard work paid off — not having a life, traveling on your birthday, not having holidays — all that actually pays off.”
Not only does she have passion for fashion, Joan is involved with a non-profit organization called Project Sunshine , where she helps children with medical needs.
Nothing “small” about Joan.
