Life Is A Butterfly

Image

Butterfly show-girls fluttered down the Jean Paul Gaultier catwalk in Paris, as the French designer transformed his haute couture gowns into delicate ethereal creations with silky wings in multicolored hues. The collections effect was both sultry and mystifying. Ms. Von Teese brought electricity with all the intensity of her bright teal ensemble, and we were once again reminded that nobody works a corset like the burlesque star.

Blooming Floral Fixation

 Image

Missing the warmth of the spring season? Flowers are a fun, girly trend that is carefree and inherently feminine. This blossoming trend, you’ll find flower patterned bras, shirts, skirts, dresses, trousers and jackets. Pastels, baby pinks and whites with little flowers were adorable in the past, but I want wild orchid prints. It’s a bit bolder, eye-catching and lady-like as well. Enter the “garden” and enjoy the beautiful pieces of 2014 Pre-Spring Collections from a wide range of designers.

Body Part Jewlery

Image

Picasso is famously known for his cubist paintings and sculptures.  In Picasso’s cubist body parts do not find themselves in the usual places. One might spy an arm sprouting out from a neck or a foot where the abdomen should be in a depiction of a human. Luckily for us, body part jewelry is in the market.  This surreal trend offers eye ringslip earringsand finger rings to wear on your fingers! Anyone who needs a hand in conveying their avant guarde side has a plethora of accessories to choose from. Just as with the aforementioned trends, designers have taken a once normal object such as a hand and repurposed it to create a completely unusual product.
